FEERUM JSC., a leading manufacturer of comprehensive grain elevators in Poland, has been awarded the “Investor without borders” competition in the category of Polish companies investing abroad. The awarding of prestigious awards took place on May 13 this year, during the 11th European Economic Congress in Katowice.
In the “Investor without Borders” competition, foreign companies are awarded, investing their capital in Poland and Polish companies gaining global markets, including companies from such sectors as: industrial automation, chemistry, power industry, electrical engineering, real estate, defense industry, food industry , machine, car, steel or telecommunications.
When selecting the best investors, the jury assessed Polish companies implementing bold, effective foreign expansion strategies. Their impact on the potential of Polish exports was assessed, but not limited to the compilation of financial data. Nomination was awarded only to those companies that, with rational risk assessment, successfully invest in foreign, sometimes distant markets, focusing on local cooperation and respecting the cultural specificity and principles of corporate social responsibility. Those companies and investments were awarded, which build the Polish brand in the world and open the door to other Polish companies.
The aim of the competition organized for the third time is to promote model relationships between the investor, market and administration, based on trust and responsibility, which is accompanied by economic effectiveness in implementing the investment strategy.
The title of “Investor without borders” is an extremely important distinction for FEERUM. In 2018, export was responsible for over 70 pct. our revenues. We base our business not only on the economic calculation, but also on values that are important in every latitude. Customers in more than a dozen countries appreciate us, we are currently implementing, among others, contract for the construction of five drying and storage complexes in Tanzania, which is the largest project of this type in this country. At the beginning of this year, we started implementing contracts worth around 50 million EUR in Ukraine. Thanks to many years of cooperation with cereal producers, we perfectly understand the needs of our customers. We believe that a high quality product combined with financing is the key to export success, not only in Europe, but also in Africa and other countries around the world – said Daniel Janusz, president of the Management Board of FEERUM JSC.
